February 2014 Meeting Notes

The February chapter meeting was held at 7 p.m. on February 18, 2014, in our usual location, the Redmond Library.

Treasurer, Jason Hills, reported that he was still holding the chapter funds while working on opening our BECU account.  Jason also reported that we have funds in our PayPal account from recent dues payments.

Secretary, Rob Kochman, had nothing to report.

Our president, Matt Mulder, will begin posting mid-month updates to the blog, as well as Facebook, to keep everyone in the loop on current chapter news and events.

Visitors were Greg Adams (at Frontier Airpark and building an RV-10), Ed (building a Searey amphibian), and Greg Dunn (looking to sell a friend's Skybolt II kit).  Welcome!

One goal discussed was to have more events during the month (i.e. between meetings).  One instance will be a Boeing Field tower tour.  Look for more information soon. [Update: tour is Saturday, March 15. RSVP required. See Facebook post for more info]

Also discussed: aviation tradeshow in Puyallup, potential Young Eagles event this summer, strategies for annual inspections, strategies for first flights and preparing for them, upcoming airport move for Shawn.

Our next meeting is at our usual time and place: Tuesday, March 18 at 7 p.m. in the Redmond Library. Xylon Saltzman and Marc Rosseau of one-G simulation in Ballard, will be presenting.   http://www.flyone-g.com/
